Know a place?

We're genetically programmed to avoid places with bad water. So I dig up the dirt on the best and worst coffee around Cape Town and South Africa.
Been somewhere good? Got a new menu? Find DR on Facebook, leave a comment, and I'll don my hat and investigate.

Arnolds Long Street _★

Cappuccino with crema (the waiter tells me it's called 'Gourmett' coffee) R14.
A medium roast, slightly watery but pleasant. Needs some more body to be a muscle man in the aroma arena.
All day breakfasts are always watchable, but these mainly feature ostrich wors that tastes like a manky feather duster. Like their namesake Arnold's skates by on looks offering no depth. Close your eyes and you can't really tell what you're eating.
The eggs benedict is more an eggs benidorm - a flavourless glob of yellow flour goo on slices of soggy breadroll saved only by the tentacles of wafer thin bacon.
Flavour seems to Terminatehere.
Decor is bright orange with a woody brown accent.
The mumbling waiters who aren't sure what cakes they have, openly shouty boss and dull food means this actor will never win a prize.
I'm not sure I'll be back
