Know a place?

We're genetically programmed to avoid places with bad water. So I dig up the dirt on the best and worst coffee around Cape Town and South Africa.
Been somewhere good? Got a new menu? Find DR on Facebook, leave a comment, and I'll don my hat and investigate.

El Greey,Upper East Side, Salt River,wc, **

(update - downgraded from 5 stars to 2 stars after a radical and unnecessary change to a cheaper blend)

Cappuccino with crema (house blend)
The barista at El Greey is an artist, the Caravaggio of Cappucino. Beware days when he is not there as the understudy barely knows which way up to hold the canvas!
When you are fortunate to receive this artwork you will find a dark and stormy woody cup of bliss, perfect for a rainy day. Strong underpainting with a pleasant finish. This Spanish painting is brushed with passion and dedication to the darkly roasted arts.
El Greey has Three levels of homely roastery to find a spot in, bejewelled with colourful rustic decor and flumpy couches. Best quiche in town. Great, Dali-esque service.
